DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORT BETWEEN ITALY AND CROATIA IN 2025
Maritime connections:
- restoration of the maritime route between Bar (Montenegro) and Bari.This crossing will be operated by the ferry Dalmacija which joined the Croatian fleet in 2024.
- Resumption of crossings from Trieste (Italy), with the financial support of the Italian government.
This route, which had been abolished in 1990, will connect Trieste to Mali Losinj with stops in Istria (Porec, Rovinj) and the Slovenian port of Piran.
It will operate from 26/06 until the beginning of September and the contract is signed for the period 2025 to 2027, possible extension 2028.
These routes expand the already existing offer: Ancona-Zadar, Ancona-Split and Dubrovnik-Bari

These flights are operated by Ryanair and are operational in summer (June to September), with a frequency of 2 to 3 times per week.
