According to the experts, this funeral ritual was intended to show travelers their status and wealth.These families installed a mound of earth along one of the most important arteries of the Roman Empire.Under this tumulus was a large burial chamber in which the horses were buried with the cart.
That of Stari Jankovci has a diameter of 40 meters and the remains were found at 1 meter deep.
